What is the definition of “Inner Circle”? According to The Free Dictionary, “inner circle” means “a small, intimate, and often influential group of people.” So, with that definition, how do you ensure that while you are acquaintances with many, you have your inner circle (that includes your “Board of Directors – those people who have the most significant influence on your lives)? Who should they be? And what should be some of the rules of engagement? The quote below lays out so succinctly two main categories of people you should endeavor to have in your (inner) circle:

We need to be intentional and deliberate about the people we allow into that coveted space! While He had 12 disciples, even Jesus had an inner circle of three disciples (Peter, James, and John)!
I am going to ask you and me these questions: “Who do I need to connect with? What do I need to make those connections? Be honest in your answers. The Bible declares:

But there is a [true, loving] friend who [is reliable and] sticks closer than a brother. (Emphasis mine).
Self-reflection: Is there anyone or group of people I need to disconnect with?
We need to be brutally honest with ourselves! Are the people currently in our inner circle adding value to us or are they draining us? One thing this past year of the pandemic has revealed is the importance of self-reflection, self-assessment, and course correction (if needed).
