“Stop trying to be less of who you are. Let this time in your life cut you open and drain all of the things that are holding you back.” ― Jennifer Elisabeth
So, some days are more challenging than others! But in all things, we are thankful that we keep going, especially when we think of the challenging economy and the impact on families, careers, businesses (the list is inexhaustive) amid the pandemic.
We can talk and whine, but we need to self-reflect. We may need to do switch gears or get even get out of our comfort zone. God will reveal the following steps and direct us as we seek His face. And when He does, we need to take some steps (corresponding action) and quit rationalizing whether it will work or not.
“Don’t worry if people think you’re crazy. You are crazy. You have that kind of intoxicating insanity that lets other people dream outside of the lines and become who they’re destined to be.” ― Jennifer Elisabeth
Friends, most of us were in our comfort zone before the global pandemic! Many of us had to pivot in the pandemic. Some of us said we only offer in-person services but quickly found ways to move forward by getting online, leveraging technology, etc., or risk falling behind.
We also found that often, situations force us out of our comfort zone. I think everything is “on the table” now. We now have to find creative ways forward, diversify or pivot, or whatever extensive terminology we want to use. There is an expectation that some things about us will have either changed or need to change.
If we are honest with ourselves, we are not the same persons we were at the start of the pandemic. What have we done or are doing to pivot? Please take a moment for self-reflection!
“People who have had little self-reflection live life in a huge reality blind-spot.” ― Bryant McGill
