The only constant thing in our lives is Change, they say! Sometimes, it is hard to navigate change!
“We can’t be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don’t have something better.”

The only constant thing in our lives is change. We will come to certain points in our lives where we ask ourselves, am I making the right choice? Am I doing the right thing? The unknown is all around us – change is around us – acceptance is the key to overcoming the fear of the unknown.
What does the Bible say about the Fear of the Unknown? Let’s start with Matthew 6:25-33
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Enjoy and celebrate the small wins
– for those going back to school – don’t think of how long it is going to take to finish. Just think one semester, just as the long distance runner thinks just one mile.
Be open to the new things life brings you – the death of a parent (celebrate his/her legacy) – do something significant to keep their memory alive; for school, commit to making new friends, to asking questions, etc.,
Take the time to meditate on God’s word
listen to psalms, hymns, making melody in your heart (Ephesians 5:19-20 NKJV)
Take time for self-care and avoid stress
Remember!
God’s got you, Sis!
