It pleases the Father when we listen to the prompting and nudging of the Holy Spirit! In the manner in which we would carefully study road maps of old, is the way we should be prescriptive and diligent about the Word of God like the Berean Church (Acts 17:10-15)!
May we stop long enough to hear what God is saying amid the noisy world and its competing priorities! So help me, God!
But for you, Christ has poured out his Spirit on you. As long as his Spirit remains in you, you do not need anyone to teach you. For his Spirit teaches you about everything, and what he teaches is true, not false. Obey the Spirit’s teaching, then, and remain in union with Christ.
There is so much noise around me (us)! That’s why we need to be very intentional about our actions, commitments, and the things we sign up for! If there is one thing I have learned this past year, I am my #1 priority! After my commitment to God, I’m next. I have learned to say “No” without feeling guilty. I have learned to say I can get to that thing but not right away!
Stop saying no to yourself and yes to everyone else. If they can’t handle your no’s , they surely don’t deserve your yes’s. – Christine E. Szymanski
